The Port of Navegantes is on the left bank of the Itajai Acu River in the city of Navegantes, State of Santa Catarina. The city holding 50 thousand inhabitants has its economy based on fishing and naval industry besides taking part in a Brazilian port complex. Access is eased by two main cargo outflow routes in the region, the BR 101 and 470 Highways. Besides these highways Navegantes has also the second most important airport in the State of Santa Catarina.

In order to speed up the land transportation in the city and maintain a balance relationship with the community, a port route is under implementation stage to suitably render support for the Terminal input and output of containers.
