Portonave Invests R$1 billion in the Quay Infrastructure Works

On January 5, the Terminal began adapting the quay, which requires an investment of R$1 billion to receive vessels up to 400 m in length and 17 m in breadth. The goal is to increase efficiency in cargo handling.

In the current phase, the east side (450 m) is isolated from the Terminal, with gates and temporary bridges for trucks and buses. Over 350 employees are involved in the works.

Phases of the works

The execution is planned to take place in two phases. While one side of the quay is under construction (450 m), the other performs operations normally, without interruptions in activities. The works began on the east side and will proceed to the west side when this first phase is completed.
